My career in communications began in 1993 upon completion of my post graduate studies. From the get-go, I was eager to build a career in the health and wellness sectors with the hope of inspiring Canadians to live healthier, happier lives. Soon thereafter, I held the position of Manager, Communications, at Saint Elizabeth Health Care, followed by that of Director, Communications and Creative Services at Toronto East General Hospital. I also enjoyed a period working with Hill & Knowlton Canada, and teaching marketing communications at Toronto’s Centennial College.

In 1998, I established PR+, which underwent a re-branding and became CAMERON Communications in 2015. For the last 19 years, I have worked with an impressive roster of businesses, brands and clients. I’ve earned national acclaim for my leadership, writing, crisis communications and management skills, employee communication programs, media relations, and strategic digital and social media programs that inform, build brand equity, and support business and brand communications and development. Throughout this period, I also stepped into the roles of Executive Director for Canada’s Pink Tulip Foundation, and served as National Ambassador of Active Living and Director of Social Media at ParticipACTION.

I’m also widely known for my lifestyle writing. I’ve written hundreds of features about health, fitness, workplace wellness, mental health, family, and healthy lifestyles. My work has been published by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and CBC, as well as in The Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, Today’s Parent, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Best Health and Toronto Life. My work was widely read by Canadians on the physical activity/healthy lifestyle blog I launched and wrote for ParticipACTION from 2010-2014, and can also be found at Tennis Canada as well as by way of the column I write for DeerFields Clinic, Canada’s premium integrative medicine clinic and lifestyle transformation retreat centre.

Many Canadians also remember the fitness blog I wrote for Today’s Parent magazine and know me as an expert contributor at Dr. Dina. You’ll find many samples of my work in my Writing Portfolio.

Also a former personal trainer and a fitness instructor of over 25 years, I served as an Ambassador for the RBC Run For The Kids in support of youth mental health at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Health Science Centre (2014 and 2015); as Ambassador and Senior Writer for Sears Great Canadian Run (2014 and 2015); and in 2016 served as an Ambassador for Becel Ride/Run for Heart in support of The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I am the mother of two girls, ages 19 and 15 and live in Toronto. My personal interests include: writing, running, tennis, dance, travel, hiking, cycling, interior design, gardening, mindfulness meditation, and vegetarian cooking.
